How do you confirm the existance of the gold reserves? Many of these 'real' businesses could only exist within the void of cyberspace.
Are there ANY independent third party sources which can confirm what any company says about itself?
Why would e-gold have to be anything more than a glorified accounting program?
Are you on the board of this company? If not, how would you 'know' what the FBI had to say about anything. Are you offering anything more here than pure conjecture? Is this an example of information I can find and read for myself?

If we give up any freedom, they will prosecute lawful businesses as well. It is happening in the US today. Just check the news on injustice, malicious prosecution.

we can't be just free all the time everywhere to do whatever we want. freedom is that which requires the most restraint and self responsibility.

It is nice to know people are out there that appreciate freedom. The average person has no clue about the power of the government.

Good point about a small group of forex people, but remember under the current laws in my view it could still be considered a violation of the securities laws because they are not registering with the SEC etc and a whole litany of others registrations. I think you have to be registered with the SEC whenever you have an investment program of any kind. Don't quote me, because I not sure and someone else knows much better. Investors should be able to do what they want without fear of the government! Long live forex traders, but in the current environment it is a problem.

Try calling your elected officials and see what kind of response you get. Send an email to the President Bush and Vice President Cheney. They need to hear from you.

The problem is that I have tried this on many issues. They are not responsive to the people. You hardly ever get a response when sending an email. They are so busy with legislation and new laws that they have forgot about the people who sent them there and that they are elected as our voice in government when we need help. We need to remind them of these things. Not sure it can be done but we can try. I would think a congressman or someone in a top position calling the FBI and saying, why are you raiding e-gold and what data are you collection. What authority did you have to do this? Why are you searching and seizing through the criminal system and invading the privacy of Mr. Jackson and e-gold. I want a full report immediately on what you are doing on this case. Why did you not just do a civil subpoena? Are you abusing the process of criminal law? Do you know how you harmed the economy by shutting e-gold down for a few days (if that is the cause). Did you know you are possibly violating our constitution? You interfered with my voter’s right to do business and exchange e-gold.
