Of course, any company can change it's plans over the course of five years, and delays in projected releases can occur. How one interprets the changes in DX will be shaped by the assumptions one brings to the discussion. If you think DX is a scam, as I do, you will interpret these things negatively, as I do. If you think DX is legit, or at least want to give them the benefit of the doubt, you'll be more forgiving.

But I certainly think it is at least a significant piece of information that the promised PDA, and the DXTraveller service that was once soliciting subscriptions on the DX website fit a typical DXpattern - it's coming, it's in development, it's been delayed, but we hope we've been of assistance.

The payment console is here, but it's been around since early on. It's not a new development, although it may have been improved. And AdsXposed is a poor imitation of Google AdSense.

What has been claimed in the past and turned out to be false, or at the very least change. And what has been promised that has not been delivered only contributes to my skepticism. What I have posted is admittedly, not a slam dunk case against DX. But folks can look at the old websites and draw their own conclusion. I think the existence of this old information is certainly worth making known for those who are trying to assess DXIO.

It only proves one thing..they are DXHuman...oops.

That may be a possibillity but they have yet not dismissed it, in some minds maybe, but no system will ever be perfected unless their is a trial error period.

DXgold has never , ever been an exchange, from DX digot to any E-Curreny in any form.
You may care to try pass it off as it has , but it never ever happened.
You can only make an exchange through another member and they are the only people that can pass the E-Currency between each other ,not DX Gold!!!.. so before you ever try to talk about an exchange please make sure you actually know what you are actually talking about.
I have been in this , the DXIO simce Oct 2002 and although I never actually invested any funds until Mar 2003.
I went in with my eyes open and got my inital spend out immediately thats the first rule in any investment , no matter where you are investing,if you came in on a later note, then you didn't do your homework correctly, and if you were unlucky,well then that is called unlucky but it is a future lesson to be packed away, so it doesnt happen hopefully if ever again.?

I agree with you Artificial HYIP, yes it is frustrating and can be looked at from two very different angles depending on how forgiving you are. Lets try to put this in perspective though... Look at what GDT are trying to achieve and think about the red tape and hoops that they need to jump through to get it all going. If you presume that they are legit then look at the task you can really see how hard it would be to get it all cracking.. and obviously they want to be able to release it all and the full feature list at once which is very hard to do... also, if they release one bit without the other stuff to back it up we look at and say this is sh!te... Its like trying to sell a car as just a shell without the engine and wheels etc but telling the buyer that the rest is coming... The problem is that they will obviously want to continue to test and tweak the system and its interactivity and have early adopters such as us and some businesses use it and find bugs/things that could be improved.

I have no doubt that many things and ideas have changed in GDT along the way tas they decided to go as big as possible at some stage and work towards we are getting now and into the next year. Many of the delays are probably due to circumstances out of their control like government red tape and the such and licencing issues and what not... this sort of undertaking would be an absolute nightmare waiting on decisions and paperwork from so many different government areas...

Hi Dave - As always, i appreciate the opportunity to have a thoughtful conversation about the enigmatic DXIO. Seems we have two, in broad terms, competing theories. One is that DXIO is evolving and adjusting with some finally "ready for prime time" system about to be released, well soon, well maybe not that soon, but eventually . . . The other that DXIO is a scam with a now familiar MO: Keep promising "the next big thing" is in the works or just about ready to keep the troops in line, but then failing to deliver and continuing to string along participants with more promises and new diversions.

Lucky for us, we have an experiment unfolding before our eyes - a flurry of announcements of new and/or improved services about to be unleashed. First, a few rhetorical questions, then an observation about the coming services.

What about the DXGrand Hotel? Am I the only one who finds its omission from the list of announcements perplexing?

What about the PDA?

What about DXTraveller?

What about the secure card for use at ATMs and POS?

OK, you see where I'm going with this. If I am right, then three or four months from now we'll be wondering what happened to DXShopping, DXCafes, and of course the ever being finalized but never quite ready for occupancy DXGrand hotel, etc. I'm not in any hurry to win any argument about this. I'm happy to sit back and watch what unfolds. If I'm wrong, I'll wish I had proceeded differently. Of course, in spite of my efforts to liquidate my account, my portfolio is still going to be in OA for about five more weeks thanks to the next payment being made from RB in about a week or so. Still time to salvage the ol' DXPortfolio

Observations:

DX is a company that in the past has taken money and applications for services that weren't in fact ready for use: DXTraveller, DXGrand Hotel. So, the fact that they are announcing new services still coming but mostly not yet here is not a sure indication that they are ready to deliver new services.

Global Payment Console: This is one thing they've got that I agree really has some merit. However, it is not new, although they continue to develop it.

DXDaily is not new, I don't think. My understanding is that it is a revival of an old service. In any case, it's no big deal to send people an ezine with some links to news stories of interest and classified ads. I subscribe to a couple such things already. Another DXCopyCat service. It's something, but it's not a big deal.

Any DXclusive participants wanna clue us in about DXShopping?

DXSynergy. OK, they're gonna make it easy to market your stuff throughout the DX system. Will anyone who isn't already committed to DXIO even be interested at this point?

DXGlobal Company: Big Deal.There are already a bunch of folks out there to help you set up an IBC, and they will even tell you who they are. For crying out loud, do not, I mean, please, do not get involved in setting up offshore financial structures with people who don't even tell you who they are. And by all means, get expert legal advice from attorneys who know and understand offshore financial matters. Frankly, this just seems to me to be a way to get DXMerchants to cough up another $950.

DXCafes: Lookout Starbucks. I'm sorry, I just can't even begin to take this one seriously.

Overall, it's a lot of news with little substance. Following are, I think, the most important parts of the announcements.

Same old future tense BS as far as I can tell. The only thing they claim is actually available is the payment console upgrade. Frankly, I think it's way too soon for the "I told you so's" from the cheerleader camp. But I promise to hang around and listen to my share of them if and when the time comes.

I'm willing to wait and see. If time and DXIO prove me wrong, I'll say I was wrong. My prediction is that the services that do materialize really will not be that big a deal, and the services that are a big deal will not materialize.

I'm still finalizing my arguments and preparing their final release in the near future. I hope I've been of assistance.

Just another thought about DXIO introducing services they're not ready to really deliver. I undertstand from another thread that there are delays in people getting expected payments from the Bluechip program. There's a shock. Anyway, if I understand the matter, and maybe I don't 'cause I'm not in the program and not privy to its secrets, DXIO is claiming there are delays because they are having trouble getting some needed US Bank accounts set up. Hmm. Well, why do they need US bank accounts? My bank here in the good ol' US of A accepts international bank wires. But here's the critical point related to my above discussion . . . Is it the case that DXIO solicited participation in its Bluechip program (notice how carefully I've avoided the word "investment") without already having in place the necessary structures to make the scheduled payments?

Well, if this is the case, then add the Bluechip program to the list of services DXIO has solicited for that they were not prepared to deliver on. How long does this list have to get before people stop hyperventilating with excitement just because DXIO announces a flurry of still not ready, but coming soon, services?

You have that last post wrong HYIP... This was a typical miscommunication from the serial pest Free For Real. I am sure he deliberately quotes out of context to try and get the 'sky is falling' mentaility going... the full transcript actually read something along the lines of: 'We have not set up the US bank account yet so the payments will be made through offshore/e-currency accounts'... As it was painted by FFR he made it appear as though GDT were making excuses for not making payments... this was not the case.

As far as your response to my post goes I again agree with nearly everything you have to say. Again you can look at things from two sides and the way I see it is to also look at the cost and effort put behind this when it is obvious that people have been bailing for over 6 months now. What am I getting at? Well, if this was a ponzi or scam they would have shut the door and run around 6 months or more ago. There is no way that there is more money going in than there is trying to get out and the boom period of a year ago is long over. The heady days of MAZU and the millions that would be made is over and I am sure GDT know it. So why not cut and run rather than continue to pour money into this thing?

I am not saying it will succeed but I don't believe that GDT are stupid enough to keep a scam running that is actually costing them money unless they actually have a bigger picture in mind.

YEs there have been lots of 'coming soons' and 'future releases' but they have actually come through with a few of them also... AdsXposed, DXGPC, DXTradeBiz, etc... and it is starting to become clearer that this system truely is massive and IF it takes off it will be the first of its kind. Not that any individual feature is that amazing or ahead of its time but that they are taking all the big things on the net and creating this 'DXWorld'... Why is microsoft so huge? They practically made it impossible for you to use anything other than windows and their products... what if GDT create a world where as people and businesses are attracted to one specific feature that they are then exposed to the marketing and rest of the system. They are encouraged to utilise other parts of the system and purchase products and services with credits they earned or bonuses from bringing in sales/traffic/interest... They are using the DXGPC on their site for sales and then decide what the hell? I'll try advertising with AdsXposed... in fact I might put the adsxposed on my site too and earn from it.

As these things tend to do, they replace the others because the user is already there... Why do people use IE? Because it is ready loaded on their PC and it says 'Microsoft'... FireFox is a much better option yet the VAST majority don't use it... they are in the 'DXWorld' where they can do some shopping being able to use one of 30+ different payment options, they can search the tradebiz search engine and maybe even get hooked on a few weekly articles from DXDaily that is ofcourse plastered with advertising and creating sales all the time.

It seems to me that there is a big idea here... but then again it may all just be a elaborate scam that is costing them more to run than they are making. There are still a lot of questions that I would love answered (the hotel is a big one - if we don't see a march opening I will be very dubious) but I realise that it is just not going to happen until GDT want it to... either that or the website goes down one day and doesn't come back up like so many others.
