The government themselves has stated that they project 300 thousand job loses in the construction industry because of the loss of sales in the market. A lot of people in the financial world believe that the US is going to go into a recession like in the 1920. I do not believe it will get that bad myself because we print our own money.
There are some people that run corporations that are not evil. There are exceptions to every rule. The only way I could say if you are not a scum bag is to talk to your employees. Some people do not see when they are doing something wrong because it is not illegal. That does not make it ethical.

'A lot of people in the financial world' WHO? Do you live under a rock and only crawl out to read conspiracy sites? " The real a state companies"
Brilliant, just brilliant. Believe it or not, the world does not revlove around your little rock. You can't even figure out what is satire and what isn't. No wonder you think that 9/11 was an operation run by the government.
I suggest you read a newspaper from a big city. Perhaps something other than your local paper. Maybe something with a ciculation around 4-5 hundred thousand. Here is another clue. Try reading the WSJ or any other respected financial journal. Here is another clue. Check out the Dow Jones. And another...You know what? Never mind. Someone as dense and sheltered as you might not be able to handle news contrary to your 'beliefs'

Re: Dum things that Bush said....
Somebody doesn't like the jokes about HIS president. Have we busted a Bushie-supporter?
I don't know about MVP but I have been following the financial markets since 2000 but I guess I'm immune to controlled press. It did help me to figure out the economy needs a giant war to survive.
Oh BTW, I've been in contact with Simon Hobbs a couple of times.

Me222, how about dumb things that John Kerry said during the campaign, or dumb things that Bill Clinton said or did.
And my 401K is going up nicely, so where is this recession conspiracy crap?

I think this is Deathshead. The same bull. If I wanted to read about controlled news than I would do what you suggest. They are laying off people left and right, and the housing market has been slowed to a crawl. Unemployment is at a all time high with projections of hundreds of thousands of lay offs in the construction industry, And this was in the national news that I read all this not the local news. But the Dow says that the investors are getting more rich. What the f*ck is this supposed to prove? All this means is that more people are living off their credit cards. They buy the things that they have to using plastic money so these corporations are still showing a profit. You base the entire countries economics on the stock market. Real Bright!

Wow that is a real bright comment. "If I am making money in my 401k then the US is not going into a recession." Just thought I would translate for us simpletons that actually read what is going on outside of our own little existence.
And everyone you listed has said many stupid things also. What does that have to do with what Bush has said? People are human and do get their words tied up, and just because they are the President does not mean they can are not going to screw up. This is just a funny thread about the stupid things BUSH has said. You should start one about each of these characters. We would all enjoy those also.

I thought you were an accountant? Anyway, not important. Do you think someone like David Walker, America's auditor-in-chief, is in a good position to know? Check out what he has to say, watch the video:

Good to have you in this thread.

Show us the proof of "hundreds of thousands" of people being laid off in the construction industry. Go on.......... You can do it!
You accuse me of basing the 'entire countries economy' on the stock market. You show a remarkable lack of intelligence. Your slow and dull posts confirm this. The U.S. unemployment rate is 4.7% I suggest you read a bit more. Actually, I suggest you read a lot more. Your one sided view of the U.S. and it's economy is pedestrian. Can you come up with some statistics to show the dire straits of the worlds most powerful economy? Maybe you and me222, who has been studying the economy since 'way back in 2000' (ha ha)
can come up with something that points to a decline. You know what? Someday you will be correct! Keep preaching doom and gloom, someday the economy will go through a downturn. Then you can loudly proclaim that "I predicted it" !!!!!!
However, you can't do it now, can you?

Re: Dum things that Bush said....
What's your favourite quote Dea... Moomba? Mine is:
""To the C students, I say to you: you, too, can be president of the United States.” - 5/21/01"
Too much
