Why?

There is little to no reason to want to open an account at this point in time. The only reason some were in beginning was to invest in stock exchange, so if that is what you are interested in, then it may make sense.

Is it just me (as no-one has commented) or does that list of banks / contacts smell like bull:****: lol

I mean seriously, every contact on there 'apparently' uses a free yahoo or similar email address. If a bank cant afford a domain / each employee to have an email, yeah sure im gonna put a 50k 'investment' in their obviously safe hands

Good point,

The reason for this is obvious given the unreliable nature of internet in Iraq, as in terrorist bombings, so from start, no one was using any in country servers due to them constantly going down. If emails were attached to local server, they too went down, so it was common practice to use yahoo as example. Hopefully this will change now that there is more stability in Iraq.
