Hello all newbies,
This topic is to help inform anyone new to the HYIP arena. Feel free to share experiences.
I jumped aboard about a month ago into the HYIP world and invested $150 into what I thought would be a legitimate program... Gold Excel. I was paid 1 day and then...poof... "Dave" and GE are now history with my money.
I spent time reading forums related to GE, and I believed the program would continue to last because it was paying 4 months previously. Needless to say, reality had slapped me in the face as I realized I was a victim of a scam.
GE paid 3% per day and I soon found myself calculating future returns. It was exciting, the returns were going to be extraordinary, I thought. Especially compounding daily...... then it was over before I knew it.
As the saying goes, "if it's too good to be true, it probably is". 3% daily WAS too good to be true.
Lesson learned.
Around the same time I invested $100 into Star Game, and so far, I've been paid everyday since July 23. SG is at or near the top of basically all investors online and has been around for over 1 year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope SG lasts for another year. We'll see.
Currently, SG is my only investment (besides the GE loss). I may invest some in Pegasus (run by SG family) as it's another reputable program. I am also looking into PureInvestor's clone matrix program, as the program has 1000's of members and is legitimately backed under LOFSA. (licensed- email LOFSA if you question this).
Other than that, my best advice to newbies would be to spend your money with caution. And make sure you can afford to lose it. Investigate programs thoroughly, read Talkgold/gold related forums, educate yourself, and don't get lured into the short term high paying programs. You will likely get burned.
OK, time to wrap this up! I hope I've helped some newbies out there! Any comments to this post would be welcome.

There were several warnings posted about gold excel, but people were so blinded by greed they wouldn't stop and consider them.

Putting all your money into one program, regardless of how well it may be performing, is not a good thing to do.

I totally agree diversification means to spread it around but not in the same family lol )

Haha. I think I posted 3423874837547 times that GoldExcel was going to fall, but no one listened.

Hi bLO & eagle9,
I agree with diversification as well. I am going to spend in a few more programs as I have $400, just trying to decide where to invest. Any suggestions on where to invest? My plan is to spend $100 each in 4 more programs.

Hi stockbroker,
Yes, I agree with you. You, along with TIG admin (Sean) and others posted several million times at goldgames. I remember the battles there and unfortunately sided with the wrong team. Should have listened to you guys. I learned my lesson painfully...
