Nothing sinister, no catches, just a simple explanation for the closure, as expected:-

Dear Members,

It's been a hard month. We've encountered various problems, not least
of which: one of the MWA co-founders has left. This has left MWA in
the uncomfortable situation where things are just not moving forward
like they should. After long discussions, we have decided to close
MWA for good. Now before you panic, check you e-gold account, almost
everyone has been refunded their initial deposit(s) (if you haven't
received payment see the note further below).

In addition, we have taken the remaining available funds in the MWA
portfolio and split that evenly between all members (calculated
against your deposit size) and added this to the refunded amount. In
this way, no member has made a loss, everyone should have at
least a small profit (unless you deposited in the last cycle, then
you will only receive a refund).
