WARNING about E-GOLD Blocked Accounts:
If you remember, there was an email circulating and also posts that advised to change settings in e-gold accounts to accept funds from BLOCKED e-gold accounts.
The source (unknown) said that e-gold was somehow targeting autosurf programs, and it advised all e-gold members to change the default setting from "Refuse" to "Accept".
I for example read this and thought I would lose my earnings from ASCfin and Tinger, etc. But even after I changed them, it the funds never came in. But after I found the truth, I quickly changed it back to refuse accepting from blocked accounts.
Well, as it turned out to be, this apparent advice has been destructive for some. It was reported that a member of DadnDaves (Check:
http://www.dadndaves.net/) and possibly many others who received from blocked accounts had their accounts blocked as well, and are now unable to receive payments from all their earning sites.
I believe that this is because e-gold thinks that the one whose account is blocked for any reason (investigation, fraud suspicioun, etc.) is trying to transfer his funds to another account that belongs to him.
After the strict policies of the Feds and the FBI investigation in e-gold, I think e-gold marked a number of suspicious e-gold accounts and had them blocked. This could be a maneuver by e-gold

to find those people who may be associated with blocked accounts to see if they were involved in fraud or money laundering, etc.
And that may be a crisis for those who have diversified as they need to create new e-gold accounts and change their e-gold accounts.
I recall that some have said we could not receive funds from ASCfin and Tinger because their accounts are blocked and we need to change the settings to receive from them. But as it turned out to be, their accounts were not at all blocked and this measure of allowing funds from blocked accounts could:
1- Block your own account
2- Possibly extend the investigation into your own account
3- Blacklist your email or personal information
I have personally changed my settings a few days ago to accept from blocked accounts, but after I found this warning, I changed them back to default and am not accepting from blocked accounts. I have lots of programs I am investing in and cannot and will not afford to be in trouble if my account is blocked, especially as some of my investments are in programs that do not allow changing of e-gold number for security reasons.
So a sincere and honest advice is to make sure you read the warning between the lines and not allow to be associated -dileberately- with blocked accounts. After all, those who have blocked accounts will probably have to get new ones in order to receive funds and will send amounts from the new accounts so as not to get into more trouble.
That was my 2 cents! If you don't want to do with my advice, it's up to you. You're free with your money
