Why use Egold?

I've never understood why so many people (not that there's actually all that many, considering how much mo widely used the other payment gateways are) use E-gold.

It's hard to convert money into E-gold in the way you have to pay some weird company to give you back Egold "in 12 hours".

Then you have to do the same to convert back to PayPal (which is even harder). So it's really hard to get and sell Egold and both times you have to pay a comission.

Then on top of that, there are no real sites out there to buy items with using Egold currency. There are a few minor Gold Bid sites that have 0-10 unwatched auctions going on, but there aren't any sites to spend the money.

So why do people use it? It seems to me Egold is less secure than real money and when everyone complains about being scammed, there's nothing you can do.

If you have an ATM Card that accepts EGold Deposits, it's actually very convenient.. plus, as the value of gold rises, so does the value of your balance, many processors are not like that at all. Plus, E-Gold wont freeze your account or allow chargebacks and ruin your life like PayPal will

You can use it worldwide for my its impossible to have a Paypal account so thats why Im using e-gold.I had a stormpay account too but the money got stolen

The simplest explanation on why egold is used? It's nearly anonymous. Most of these 'programs' would find themselves nearly unable to operate (And, by the way, more easily tracked, at least 'on the surface') if they worked with real funds.

e-gold is simple..
lots of money making "ponzi" places where people make and lose money on here use it....
I guess its jus so easy..Signup for it with little info and worries

Because that's what admins accept so that when they run with the money, people can't do a chargeback.

Well the egold system is very secure, unless you have told someone your passphrase or the know your email account pass word after the egold robot sends you that email, no one ever will get in to your account.
