Liberty Reserve is back up and running
After a long downtime, Libertyreserve is finally back up and running smoothly for the majority of it’s members. The site was offline for about 4 days (a little longer for some people) do to some site upgrades. The cause of the downtime was upgrades in the SSL, as well as Cisco Upgrades.
It seems that every time an e-currency goes offline members begin to panic. This is because of the problems in the past with e-currencies like e-gold, e-bullion, evocash, altergold etc. The e-currency market is filled with scammers, and unreliable companies. Our Forum was filled with people wondering if LibertyReserve would ever return. The Liberty Reserve status thread was the most active thread on the entire forum for a few days. After all the worrying, LR has returned, so there no need to worry.
With the site back up and running, they have announced a few new things:
- There have been companies added to their list of exchangers who will exchange Liberty Reserve.
- Debit card price schedules will be released shortly. This is exciting news for those of you who would like to be able to withdrawal your Liberty Reserve via ATM machines.
So stop worrying. It appears that LibertyReserve is here for a long time to come.
