October 1st - 15th, 2003 - Blackmailers, and Server Changes* Connections4U has been experiencing payout delays. The Admin of the program also has been swamped with emails. The reason for the delays is said to be because of improvements in the program. The Program admin asks their members to bare with them while they make their nessesary improvements. * Blackmailer attacks HYIPs. Quite a few HYIP's have reported recieving blackmail demands from a person named Alex. Alex blackmailed many programs, asking for $5.00/day from each one. The blackmailer threatened to send out spam emails for all the programs if he did not recieve the $5.00/day from them. Several programs gave into his threats, while others did not. If you are an admin of a program, we recommend not giving into these types of threats, because it will just harm the HYIP community. It might mean risking having your hosting suspended for a little while, but it's not worth the trouble of what can happen if these blackmailers are successful. Some of the programs hit by the blackmailer include: Gold Secure, Fox Investments, and Caribe Investments. * The Invest Group is also still planning to make refunds. However they have over $10K in refunds to make, and plan to take quite some time in doing so. Whether or not everyone will eventually get full refunds is yet to be determined. * AusGold is continuing to refund their members, even though it's taking some time. * Gold Mine 9, has changed their e-gold account due to a hacker. If you are planning on spending to this program, do NOT spend to e-gold account: 785750 * WeeklyGold.com has announced that they will conducting a lottery to give away a Painting by Piet Moerman. This Painting is valued at approximately $1400. You must have an investment with WeeklyGold.com in order to to purchase 1-cent lottery tickets. The Admin hasn't given any updates either, so it looks as if they are a Scam. * The Admin of Trade For Gold, who originally said they were going private, decided to close the program up instead. * GoldxTrader has also stopped making payouts, and have not tried to contact anyone. Appears that they are also a scam. * Pacific Investment Club has also haulted payouts with no communication to members. Another program that looked reliable at first and now is looking like a scam. * Gold Storage has officially been termed a "SCAM" by the HYIPMailer writers.
